"Couple therapy and conflict management techniques"

Following the series of activities organized by the Department of Education Sciences for the professional formation of students, the next guest was Mrs. Greta Hysi, who held an open seminar on conflict management and implications for couple therapy.

Mrs. Hysi, as a specialist in the field of clinical psychology and couple relationships, shared with the students theoretical aspects and studies about how intimate interpersonal conflicts affect not only our psychological health but also the manifestation of symptoms and physiological discomfort.

During the seminar was also presented a recent study conducted in Albania with couples in the first decade of marriage to investigate their way of managing conflicts and psychosomatics. The findings confirm that mental and physical health is directly influenced by the ability of partners to efficiently manage couple conflicts, especially from the dominant conflict management profile that can be accommodating, collaborative, and so on.
